The Chanel Fake Tattoos.

I love it, I love it, I love it.
I first saw that temporary tattoos were becoming fashionable was on 'www.thestylelist.com', showing that fashion houses such as Rodarte and Jean Paul Gautier had included the fake tattoos on their models. Following this, I looked for other designers that had ventured in to the childish trend, and then... I found Chanel.
The most amazing, creative tattoo ideas, that allow you to feel a little 'punk-rock' whilst knowing there is no life long affect to your body.
Whilst on holiday to Majorca, I purchased a henna tattoo. It cost 9 Euros but only lasted 3 days, of course, I was running around in the ocean, sweating whilst partying too hard in Magaluf (which I recommend going on a holiday to), but, never the less, I was a little disappointed.
When I got back home, I had a little trace left of my fakey, I loved it so much I just had to prolong the design (which was a 'swirly' number on the side of my hand.)
Looking around my local shopping centre, I stumbled upon '24 Hour Eyeliner' by 'Colorsport'. I thought, if the black liquid can last 24 hours on my eye, then why not my body. So, i gave it a go.

The Sporting Colour

As soon as I purchased the product for a little over £6, I drew on top of my henna. A rich, black line smoothly covered over my pattern. I was so impressed by the appearance of it. Turns out, it does last 24 hours. And, its an easy task to draw over every morning if thats what you would like, and it is also perfect for drawing whatever you like, wherever you like.
Not forgetting the amount of times I got asked if I had got a real tattoo. It really does make you feel like a rebel... and a bit like a child again. Thank god for those fashion designers who decided body art is cool- everyone tell your parents that now, it is okay to write notes on your hands, and NO, you won't get ink poisoning.

Micro Clutch

The next micro-mini-fashion is the super small bags. Designers such as D&G, Hermes and Luella have all tagged on and created a bag that is too small to have a point.
I definitely think that some of the bags had potential so I bought myself one or two... or three, to test the trend.
1) The heart shape from accessorize, which cost about £20. (Which acted as a cheaper alternative to the Luella clutch shown above)
2) The silver and black, air balloon style from river island, which cost about £7 in the sale.
3) A black, feathered bag from a bridal store, costing £17.
4) Finally, my close friend used and reviewed a small, purple clutch from Barratts costing about £15.

My Heart

For a best friends birthday night out, a few of us girls hit a local town for a meal and drinks. I decided that the heart shaped bag from accessorize would match perfectly with the scarlet, velvet, super-short dress, I bought especially for the occasion. In the bag I managed to squeeze in my phone, bank card, lipstick and money. But, there was no room for my camera (of course the evening HAD to be documented) or my eye make-up.
Never the less, the long-chained, copper strap worked nicely so I had plenty of room in my hands for drinks... and more drinks. One problem with the bag was that I had to keep checking that it had not opened, because I had to cram in my necessities, the bag didn't seem too safe.
Although, my little heart shone through and lasted the night, with quite a few compliments.
I awarded the bag a 7/10.

My Air
I had a casino night coming up. It was a charity event, with auction- so I was very excited. My outfit was a very elegant, to-the-floor, glammed-up maxi dress, in grey and black. I had the perfect bag; the air-balloon clutch. This time, it fit my phone, money/bank card, necessary make-up and camera; RESULT!
The night was going great, plenty of wine (I'm not an alcoholic, I swear!) and money spent on a good cause. But, the clasp on the bag grew weaker by the hour, and eventually, by the end of the night, it had broke. I struggled to hold it all together until I reached my ride home.
Shame, it was so lovely- perfect for a one time use (at least I got it in the sale, right?)
I awarded the bag a 6/10

My Night
I'm looking back now, to my prom night. I bought a beautiful black, feathered bag that matched my lace gloved, self-made fascinator, super high heels (admittedly bought from a pole dancing shop) and £160, to-the-floor, black dress from Monsoon. The bag worked wonders, with all the things I could need for the best night of a girls life. But, in the limo ride to the event, my friends and I messed around, sipping champagne and taking plenty of photos. I left my bag on the side seat and when I came back to it, the contents had spilled out and I lost my favorite mascara down the back seat. BIG shame!
Never the less, the bag did me proud for the rest of the evening- only let down is that it didn't come with a longer strap, so was attached to my wrist 100% of the time.
I give this bag a 8/10

Her Take

It was a work night out; dinner and a club. I had to make a casual dress look smart, whilst making a big impression on my colleagues (some very fine males I tell you.) I wore a classy, summer H&M dress combined with teal sky-scrapers with a matching elasticised waist belt. The bag went wonderfully with the purple, mint and peach detailed birds on the dress. The HUGE jewel compensated for accessories and allowed me to avoid breaking-the-bank finding suitable jewellery.
The bag fitted my phone (ready for those males numbers), house keys (mind you, there are a lot of keys on there), make-up (what was needed) and money (not that I had to spend any).
The bag lasted, the hard-case protected my contents and the metal strap came in nicely when dancing-the-night-away.
Overall I award the bag a 9/10.

In conclusion, if you don't take a lot of stuff out with you, then these bags are a perfect accessory.

The shock death of killer heels...

The new trend on the street is 'kitten heels'. Labels such as Chloe, Louis Vuitton and Marni have displayed their own take on the heel that is no higher than 2 inches.
I understand that for figures such as the First Lady,Michelle Obama, the kitten heel acts as a sophisticated, realistic and high-class alternative to wearing back breaking 6 inch monsters. But, for us average lot, a night out would never be complete without the highest shoes you can find. I mean, they make everyone look taller, slimmer and more confident. I know they hurt so much, but thats the cost of beauty- and I will always pay the price.
Kitten heels are a shoe that is stuck in the middle, confused about whether they are comfortable and flat or sexy and high.
They are a pointless shoe, that have the same painful affect of super-high stilettos, but don't look half as good.

Models With Gapped Teeth.

I do not know if it is because I had to wear a brace for 2 years, or whether my obsession with teeth is becoming more powerful, but I have noticed a few gap-toothed models appear on my television and in my ELLE magazine.
I can't actually understand how they would get a modelling career.
perfect body; check.
perfect face; check.
perfect hair; check.
and then...
those teeth appear and all the perfection disappears.
I am talking about Lara Stone, primarily. Okay, she is drop-dead-gorgeous, but in that Versace, 'Versus' fragrance advert, all i see is that mouth open and those teeth, ugly as anything.
My next gap toothed model is of course that one off the 'Rimmel London' advert- of course you know the one; her name is Georgia May Jagger. She has even had a facebook group made about her teeth. "Get the london look...na your alright sort your teeth out." ... this group currently has 221,449 fans. Is my point proven?
Alright, I do feel like I am attacking 2 extremely beautiful women, but don't you think that with the money they get, they could put a little aside for a brace or vineers... that would be the first thing I would do.

Following this, I shall always be consistent with my retainer so that my teeth will be perfect forever.

The Perfume Test.

I have chosen 3 different current perfumes to find my favourite scent for spring/summer.
1) 'essence' by Narciso Rodriguez
2) 'pure' by DKNY
3) 'daisy' by Marc Jacobs (I know there is 'Lola', but the appearance of 'daisy' grabbed me more.)

Day One: Today I wore 'essence'. With the first spray, I thought the scent was overpowering, but I gave it a chance and a second spray... this time it was sweet, quite light and sophistocated. I quite enjoyed the way I smelled, I felt confident although I got only one comment made.
I asked a close friend their thought on 'essence', they said "Very nice, I like it alot. It is a fresh, different scent to anything I have ever used before." She awarded the perfume a 9/10.
Overall, I give the fragrance a 8/10

Day two: Today I wore 'pure'. First thought, WOW. The fragrance was so easy to take, it was playful and simple. Throughout the day, I got no comments on my scent, I think this was because the spray is so light, a perfect perfume for women who like understated, feel good glamour.
Again I asked my friend her thoughts, she said, "The scent grows on you, to begin with it didn't influence me as it was too subtle but is useful for everyday tasks." She awarded it a 6/10.
Overall, I gave the perfume a 7/10

Day three: Today I wore 'daisy'. My initial impression was exciting. The scent gave my nose a wake up call for the day, refreshing and pretty. As soon as I hit society, a male figure commented on 'how lovely' I smelled. All day I felt beautiful. The perfume was not too strong, not too weak; just perfect.
I asked my close friend her thoughts once more, she said, "Nice, refreshing, sweet. Lovely name and beautiful bottle- great presentation." She awarded the fragrance a 8/10
Overall, I gave the scent a 9/10
