Here is one to ask your mum about! Chelsea girl was the original highstreet store to sell fashion forward treads to the masses. From the 60's to the 80's it captured the nation before transforming into River Island back in 1988.
Known for it's boundary pushing mini skirts and boho floaty tops, Chelsea girl turned the English Rose into a Hippy Daisy chain. Upon asking my auntie if she remembered Chelsea girl I saw her youth spark come to life again. I heard stories of bold geometric print, bright paisley patterned maxi skirts and of course floor sweeping bell bottom jeans.
So to celebrate the rush of vintage revival in this years fashion palette, River Island has created a 40 piece capsule collection. But 23 years after Chelsea girl closed it's doors, what does it have in store for us?
What do you think Bon bons, are you interested in brand resurrection or should line like this remain in the past?
Love J.
